Učka Nature Park (Poklon mountain pass) is connected with Opatija (Slatina bus station) by Autotrolej-operated bus line 34. This route operates only once per week (on Sundays), and the ride takes one hour.
The bus departs from Opatija at 9:30 and 14:05, and returns from Poklon at 10:30 and 15:45.
In case you intend to arrive to the Kvarner Bay by bus, the Rijeka Bus Terminal is well connected with all Croatian cities and major European cities.
The bus ride from Rijeka to Opatija (Autotrolej bus line 32) takes approximately 45 minutes.
Visitors arriving by car from the direction of Rijeka and Zagreb should continue along the main road towards the Učka tunnel (in the direction of Pula, Poreč, etc.), and then take the Veprinac exit. This will bring you to the old county road, which will lead you to the Nature Park.
Visitors arriving by car from the direction of Istria should turn right next to the INA gas station prior to entering the Učka tunnel, and then follow the signposts directing drivers to the old county road and to the central area of the Učka Nature Park.
It is also possible to reach the Nature Park from the nearby resorts along the Opatija Riviera. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
Visitors arriving from Ičići: Turn left from the main road, pass next to the store and drive through the settlement of Poljane to Veprinac, and then follow the brown tourist signposts leading you to the Nature Park.
Visitors arriving from Matulji: Drive from the center of Matulji towards the settlements of Bregi and Veprinac, and then follow the brown tourist signposts leading you to the Nature Park.
