Uspješno provedena druga ovogodišnja aktivnost u okviru programa Europskih snaga solidarnosti / Second European Solidarity Corps Activity Successfully Completed

Od 24. kolovoza do 8. rujna u Posjetiteljskom centru Sošice boravila je grupa od osam ESS volontera koja je radila na čišćenju ilegalnih odlagališta otpada.

Volonteri su vrijedno uklanjali otpad odbačen u prirodu u Taračima kod sela Sošice, a u suradnji s lovcima radili su i na uklanjanju otpada na lovištu I/114 POGANA JAMA – SLAPNICA.

Tijekom boravka sudjelovali su na zanimljivim predavanjima i radionicama koje su za njih održali djelatnici Parka te članovi HGSS Stanice Samobor. U okviru projekta RESILIO sudjelovali su u akciji čišćenja lokve u Kekićima.

Volonteri su se uključili u poljoprivredne poslove lokalnog stanovništva, pomažući im u čišćenju njihovih površina i berbi krumpira, a pružili su pomoć i organizatorima Žumberačke utrke.

Na Interkulturalnom danu, održanom u sklopu tradicionalne Žumberačke utrke, trkačima i ostalim posjetiteljima predstavili su svoje zemlje kroz raznolika jela koja su pripremili.

Zahvaljujemo našim volonterima na trudu i vrijednom doprinosu u čišćenju i očuvanju prirode, kao i pomoći lokalnom stanovništvu.

Ukupna vrijednost projekta iznosi 37.134,00 eura, a projekt je sufinanciran sredstvima Europske unije.

From 24 August to 8 September, a group of 8 ESC volunteers stayed at the Sošice Visitor Centre, where they worked on cleaning up illegal waste dumps.

The volunteers worked hard to remove waste illegally dumped in nature in Tarači, near the village of Sošice. In cooperation with local hunters, they also helped remove waste from the hunting ground I/114 POGANA JAMA – SLAPNICA.

During their stay, they took part in interesting lectures and workshops held for them by Park staff and members of the HGSS Samobor Mountain Rescue Station. The volunteers also helped clean the pond in Kekići as part of the RESILIO project.

The volunteers also got involved in agricultural work with local residents, helping them clean their land and harvest potatoes. They also helped the organizers of the Žumberačka Race.

At the Intercultural Day, held as part of the traditional Žumberačka Race, they presented their countries to runners and other visitors through a variety of dishes they prepared.

We are grateful to our volunteers for their hard work and valuable contribution to cleaning and preserving nature, as well as for their support to the local community.

The total project value is €37,134.00, and the project is co-financed by the European Union.
